Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only one of Richard McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher and her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. From a young age, McCormick enjoyed singing and dance and would often perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. She was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was then contacted via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to join the show business. McCormick found her first role as a major actress in the year 1964. She was featured in an advertisement for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the main character in Wind It up and It Breaks, a play in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen out of a crowd of over 1500 children who had auditioned to be the youngest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick stated in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having lost her virginity during the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. He was just 19. She was 16. It would have happened she stated, but the time was never right for us.
